The Charles Cup was awarded to Michael Briggs for his fabulous, richly detailed and illustrated account his summer cruise to North Brittany on Kingfisher. This is a must for all those contemplating a cruise to that region. It is on the website so please do read it.
COMMODORE’S CUP 2025
The Commodore’s Cup was awarded to Shelagh Jones for her outstanding work as Commodore of the Royal London in which she steered the club through the difficult shoals of its merger with RORC to the great advantage of both clubs.
GORDON UNGLEY TROPHY 2025
The Gordon Ungley Trophy was won by the Bar, captained by Adam Farhadian Griffiths. It was, without doubt, one of the most exciting days racing in the club’s history.
WILLETT CUP 2025
The Willett Cup was won on handicap by David Hunt, Alex Charlton and Guy Adams. As with 2024, conditions were severe and the two Bar boats that competed appeared to be the only boats in the Solent.
FOUNDER’S PLATE 2025
The Founder’s Plate was won by Ruth and Paul Bleasdale. They took line honours but, alas, their waterline length exceeded the competition by such a degree that the handicapping committed (David Hunt, Alex Charlton and Guy Adams) had little choice but to weigh them heavily.
